Alien Romulus - F44AA Rifle

Through Weta Workshop I had the opportunity to work with director Fede Álvarez on Alien: Romulus. We worked across a number of prop and weapon briefs that would be practically built for the film.

The F44AA Rifle was an auto-aiming weapon developed by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. The gun snaps onto targets for you, all you have to do is pull the trigger. These early designs explored various ways of driving the auto-aiming feature, while trying to keep the design language of the gun in universe.
